While creating a new data visualization, I encountered an issue with LibreOffice Calc automatically inserting currency symbols [1] into the data values on exporting the data as csv. This results in Vizzu interpreting values as categories.

It would be much easier if I could select the values directly in the table (within the data pane) and edit them quickly on Vizzu.io platform itself. This would be a significantly faster approach compared to creating a whole new vizzu.

Spot on suggestion, as always, @arky!
We’re working on two things to address this issue:

  • making the data processing of Vizzu smarter to identify quantity columns with currency signs or similar units correctly
  • adding some data editing features to the data pane
    The former will likely be released in the coming weeks, but I can’t say when exactly.
